My web host require me to purchase a fixed IP address in order to enable SSL. Not so much of a fair deal to me. I just cannot let myself to login through http over some unknown wireless network. Using OpenID is a nice solution to get over this situation. Since most of the public OpenID providers use SSL you don’t have to think about your password going through the wire without being encrypted. One less thing to worry about.
