Multicast flooding with Pulseaudio

Pulseaudio multicasting options are a very evil thing to enable inside a network. If I can remember the numbers correctly it was sending out around 250 MB of UDP packets every hour when you enable it. This makes the whole network unusable.

Please don’t try this at office.

    250 mb/hour eh? Pretty insane. I think we’ll avoid it ;)

Oh my! Hope your network has some level of QoS to prioritize real time traffic over these UDP packets from pulseaudio! :)

What a huge bandwidth hog! Dont these people do any kind of testing before releasing in market?

    Ha

Chintana, you’re so evil..to talk about this and “suggest” enabling inside a network, haha :P Ok, you didn’t suggest but I’m tempted now that you’ve shown me the way..

Btw, you’re a talented photographer! Consider labeling the pics more, as the Temple ones are quite extraordinary! I’d love to know where those were taken…
